Day – 1: New Delhi – Shimla (350 kms/ 07 hours)

Our team receives you at IGI, New Delhi. We drive from your hotel just after breakfast and have a plan to reach Shimla by afternoon. In the evening, you roam over the ridge mall road. During colonial time, this place was having a special love due to lush green cedar forests. Explore local markets. Enjoy stories and history of the place over a buffet dinner.

Day – 2: Shimla– Sangla (240 km/ 6 – 7 hours)

We leave early morning after breakfast towards Sangla in Kinnaur district and having halts on the way. By evening tea we reach Sangla.

Day – 3: Explore the Sangla/ Chitkul/ Raksham region

Now this day brings a lot of endeavors for you. With our expert team enjoy the beauty and adventure of Sangla Valley to the full on this day. We drive to Chitkul 60 kms away from Sangla in 3-4 hrs. It gives you a chance to explore every moment of this adventurous journey. Chitkul is located on the ancient Hindustan – Tibet trade route. You have a lot of options to shape your trip perfect. There are also options for other activities as rock climbing, Rappelling, River Crossing and Trout Fishing. There is also an option to try your hand at– extra charges may apply for some of these.

Day – 4: Sangla – Nako – Tabo- Kaza (225 kms/ Full Day)

This morning we start a bit early to experience the pre-dawn of Kalpa. This brings serenity and awakens in your mind.
We then drive to Nako Lake. Our team prepares fresh food in a kitchen tent. The entire day is exhausting and you need to go for a comfortable stay.

Day – 5: Drive from Kaza – Ki Monastery – Kibber – Gette – Kaza (14,806 feet / 6 – 7 hours)

Today, on the 5th day of the Spiti Valley Tour, we drive to some of the highest inhabited regions of the world.
Kaza is a governmental subdivision of the Spiti region. Kaza is a small town where you can have basic amenities. You can explore monasteries around Kaza. In specific words, ‘Monasteries are a lifeline of this region’. We drive Hikkim village to explore countryside of this remote region. Indian Post has its post office (highest in the world) to connect the locals with the world. The post office staff is friendly and you can discuss about the region. As a memoir, you should send a self-addressed postcard to your home country. Further, we drive to Langza village located at 12000 ft altitude. At this latitude, the atmospheric oxygen remains in a thin layer so you should take proper rest and relaxation. Langza gives a perfect insight into country life in this remote area. At Langza, you experience a prehistoric era when the Spiti region was submerged by a sea, known as Tethy Ocean to form the Himalaya. You can explore the land with marine fossils. We drive to Kaza hotel for freshly prepared lunch. After then we have a special session of Buddhist Meditation by the Monk. This will give you enlightenment and you receive the tips for life betterment from the monk itself.

Day – 6: Visit Pin Valley National Park, (12,450 feet / 4 – 5 hours)

On the 6th day of our Spiti Valley tour, we drive towards the beautiful Pin Valley.
We drive towards Pin Valley National Park. This national park is the only wildlife sanctuary that has snowcapped mountains around the year. This is the only highlight of this Safari. You can explore Himalayan animals and birds, with some rare plant varieties.
We visit the Kungri Monastery enveloped in green gorges. Further, we drive to Mudh village and beyond that, there is Wild Life Sanctuary.
Pin Valley was declared as a national park in 1987 and is home of several rare species including endangered snow leopards & Himalayan Ibex, Red Fox, Weasel, Marten, etc. This national park is located at an altitude of 11000 – 20000 feet which also makes it a perfect place for rare and costly herbs. The sounds of birds give you a sense of serenity.
The whole was a great experience in many aspects. We drive towards our hotel in Kaza for a relaxed stay.

Day – 7: Drive from Kaza to Tabo – Dhankar – Dhankar Lake Trek – Lhalung. (12,774 feet / 4 – 5 hours)

After a delicious breakfast, we continue our Spiti Valley tour and drive towards the only other town of Spiti Valley – Tabo. Tabo is a small town. Tabo is known for its ancient Buddhist monastery. This monastery was founded by the royal family of the Tibetan dynasty. This monastery’s walls are constructed on at-least 3 ft wide brick mud mortar which makes it thermal insulated and long-lasting. Tabo monastery is declared as ‘UNESCO World Heritage’. This monastery was founded in 996 AD. This monastery has many ancient scriptures. This monastery is full of artwork. This monastery organizes social welfare program around the region
After spending a couple of hours at Tabo, we drive towards Dhankar. This monastery is built on a 1000 ft high spur; it overlooks the junction of the Spiti & Parvati Rivers. Dhankar was known as a former capital of the Spiti region. The Spiti region was a cultural extension of Tibetan Buddhism regime.
Now we have a countryside walk to Lalung village. This village is located in the shadow of the Tangmar Mountains. The Lhalung Monastery – also known as Sarkhang and golden Temple – is situated at a height of 3658 metres.
We spend this night to experience local hospitality and listening to stories, yet not on the internet.

Day – 8: Drive from Tabo – Manali (230 kms/ 06 hours)

Today is the last day of this Wonderful Jungle Safari. We drive towards Manali. This is a memorable drive as you cross snowcapped Kunzum pass & Rohtaang pass. We drive along and over rivers, cross glaciers, and bump along undulating tracks. It may be dusk when we reach Manali – where we celebrate the journey over gala buffet dinner.

Day – 9: Manali

Today is a free day and you can explore local markets. You board on private transport to Delhi and by early morning you reach to Delhi. We drop you at the airport or hotel at your convenience.
