THE MOST CULTURAL ROUTE OF INDIA

Spiti Valley is located in the north – eastern part of Himachal Pradesh in India. Do you know, Spiti means in Tibetan “The middle land”,  because this place lying between mainland India and Tibet. And It is situated at an average height of around 12,500 feet altitude. Spiti is spread along the Himalayan River of the same name. So Its remoteness and harsh climate have been a boon for natural beauty and less commercialization.

Motorcycling Holidays in Spiti Valley circuit is an ideal place for adventurous motorcyclist. Spiti is sub-division in remote Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh. It doesn’t limit only to adventure but stunning, beautiful landscape. You see the changing landscape from lush green to barren mountains to lush green again. In the Spiti valley You also visit some of the oldest (900 years old) Buddhist monasteries for a rich cultural experience. This introduction may give you an imaginative picture of Spiti. And You visit the highest altitude village and the highest altitude post office on the earth.

You ride to Chandratal lake which is located at high-altitude. For better adventure experience you can soothe your photography skills take some serene milky way photos. Mostly all the international flights arrive in late evening or night hours. Our representative receives you at the T-3, Indira Gandhi International Airport. You check-in to hotel.

Day 01

New Delhi – Shimla (350 kms/ 08 hours)
Early morning you drive to Chandigarh in private transport. After lunch you take an easy ride to Shimla (115 km/ 3 hrs). You have a plan to reach Shimla by evening. In the evening, roam over the ridge mall road. Explore local markets. Enjoy stories and history of the place over a buffet dinner.

Day 03

Shimla– Sangla (240 km/ 6 – 7 hours)
We leave early morning after the breakfast towards Sangla in Kinnaur district, and having halts one the way. Now onwards, the roads are curvy mountainous road. In old time, this road was known as Tibet- India Highway. Mostly the merchants used to bartering.

Day 04

Sangla - Nako (approx.3670 m)
After breakfast, drive your motor-cycle to Nako. Today, you ride on the famous Hindustan-Tibet Highway along the Sutlej River. An asphalt tarmac road with easy riding conditions with beautiful views of the Sutlej, it helps you to reach Kalpa comfortably. Kalpa is the main town of Kinnaur district, home to the delicious Kinnaur Apples. Kalpa also offers a spectacular view of one of the holiest mountains in India - Kinner Kailash. Stay overnight at a guest house/ camp In Nako.

Day 05

Nako - Kaza (approx.3700 m)
Post break-fast, you ride north along the narrow valley within which flows the Sutlej river, in lap of Himalayan shadows and into the high altitude region of Himachal. After some grueling stretches of dirt tracks and water crossings, you enter the barren land of Spiti Valley. The landscape changes from lush green to rocky, and then to barren, Tobo monastery is famed for its vast collection of frescos and stucco paintings and is called the "Ajanta of the Himalayas". You also visit Dhankar monastery (12,774 feet), one of the oldest monasteries in the world. Stay overnight at a hotel in Kaza.

Day 07

Kaza - Chatru (approx. 3080 m)
Drive your motorcycle from Kaza to the Chandatal Lake where you have lunch. Kaza (11,980 Ft) is the capital of the Spiti region. Stay overnight at a camp in Chattru.

Day 08

Chatru - Manali
You start late morning and it takes 4-5 hrs to reach Manali. You pass through Rohtaang, lush green covered in snow. You will reach Manali in the afternoon. Check in to the hotel and later in the evening visit to Hot Spring in Vashisht for relaxation. Stay overnight at a hotel in Manali.

Day 09

Manali – New Delhi
Today you have full free day to explore local markets and cultural interventions. Finish the Check-out formalities. Visit mall road and later in the evening, you board on a private transport for Delhi. Next day early morning you reach New Delhi.

Day 02

Enjoy stories and history of the place over a buffet dinner.
